I interviewed Sam Cromack from Brisbane indie rockers Ball Park Music last Friday. I always get really nervous before interviews, but once we got chatting it was ok. Turns out we have a couple of things in common: we both like Radiohead and Richard Dawkins. Sam also didn’t laugh at me when I couldn’t work out how to hang up the speakerphone at the end of the interview, and for that, I award him 10 additional awesome points.

I did the interview for Everguide.com.au and got some great feedback from the editor in chief too. He suggested I focus on making my writing more concise. More snappy. More to the point. More engaging. Silky smooth and with all the excess fat of phases like “to that of which” and “as to which” trimmed away. Tim also said I built a good rapport with Sam during the interview, which was humbling.
